The kids’ division of WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks and Sales in the Asia Pacific region (APAC) has appointed Carlene Tan as the new director of original production and development.

“[Tan’s] relationships with studios and talent in the regional and global animation ecosystem will be instrumental in bringing new stories to life,” says Leslie Lee, head of the WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks & Sales APAC kids division.

In this role, Tan will identify new intellectual property and produce original series for Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and POGO. Tan will also oversee the current slate of Asia Pacific originals including Emmy-nominated Lamput, Monster Beach, Roll-21, and both Titoo and Lambuji Tinguji, which will launch on POGO later this year.

Lee’s team expands further with the promotion of Hoyoung Jung into the role of director of acquisitions and co-productions, APAC Kids. Jung will be in charge of the discovery and negotiation of third-party programming. As the head of the department, Jung will be the key face in international markets and at trade shows.
