WildBrain, in collaboration with Mattel Television, shared that seasons 14 and 15 of Fireman Sam and season five of Polly Pocket are in production with slated deliveries beginning in December.
Fireman Sam and the Pontypandy Rescue Team are back to save the day on land, at sea, and in the air with two new computer graphics animated seasons of Fireman Sam. Season 14 is scheduled for December and season 15 will be available in June 2023, with each season totaling 26 11-minute episodes. The new seasons will feature newcomer Pilot Krystyna in a shiny rescue plane and upgrades to the team’s Jupiter fire engine, among other adventures.
Polly Pocket will continue her “tiny is mighty” crusade in season five of her eponymous show, slated for delivery in March 2023. Polly will share her magic “pockite” powers with her friends — giving them their own unique abilities — and they’ll explore fantastical tiny worlds together. The new season of the 2D animated series takes after Fireman Sam with 26 11-minute episodes.
Also planned for Polly is Polly Pocket: Sparkle Cove Adventure, a 66-minute special and the first film-like special since 2006’s PollyWorld and the first special since the brand was relaunched by Mattel in 2018. Sparkle Cove is a tropical island paradise ready for Polly to discover the origin of the “pockite” powers Polly’s shrinking.
“Global demand from broadcasters and streamers for both Fireman Sam and Polly Pocket remains very strong,” says WildBrain Vice President of Global Sales and Rights Strategy Caroline Tyre. “These beloved series continue to delight and educate kids with compelling characters and stories filled with action and humor.”
On top of the new seasons, WildBrain has secured multiple new streaming and broadcast deals for the programs. A range of Fireman Sam seasons have been picked up in the United States, Australia, Israel, Poland, the UK, Ireland, Norway, Germany, Italy, and France. It’s the same case with Polly Pocket: She’ll be on screens in the United States, Latin America, the UK, Canada, Poland, France, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Baltics, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Malaysia, and Brunei.
