WIT.logoWomen in Toys (WIT) is reaching out to its community of exceptional toy industry women in the hopes of rallying support for Play Your Part—Chicago, an event benefiting hundreds of local foster children that will be held at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago on July 16. The event is hosted by the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF), in partnership with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children.

Approximately 600 local foster children will receive brand new toys, and participate in fun games and craft activities.

WIT is seeking support for Play Your Part—Chicago in the following forms:

Donations of toys and games for children ages 3 to teens: Donations are needed by July 9. Quantities of 25 to 100 per item would be appreciated. To donate, complete the product donation form located at the TIF website. Shipping details will be provided.

Sponsorship through a $500 donation. This would need to be received by July 1. Sponsors will be recognized on site and via media efforts, and will also have their logo included on event t-shirts worn by all volunteers.

Volunteers to distribute toys and games to foster children or host activity stations for kids. Group game or craft activities are welcome.

Play Your Part—Chicago will take place from 12 to 2 p.m. at The Patio Room, located at U.S. Cellular Field, 333 West 35th Street, Chicago (Parking in Lot E). Interested parties should register to attend or volunteer by July 1. To do so, contact Foundation Manager Marisa Medina at mmedina@toyindustryfoundation.org, or at 646-454-5581. Volunteers should provide name, email address, and T-shirt size.
