Women in Toys, Licensing, & Entertainment is hosting a Learn the Ropes Webinar about navigating the complex world of U.S. product safety requirements. This webinar, hosted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Deputy Small Business Ombudsman, will provide a comprehensive overview of the U.S. federal product safety requirements in place for children’s toys. The webinar will open with a discussion of the most common safety requirements in place for kids’ toys and general children’s products. The webinar will close with an examination of CPSC’s “Franky Toy,” featuring live, interactive audience polling.
Will Cusey, CPSC deputy small business ombudsman, previously served in the CPSC’s Office of Legislative Affairs. Cusey has also held positions with the National Transportation Safety Board and with the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He received his Bachelor’s degree from upstate New York-based Skidmore College and attained a Master’s in Political Communication from American University’s School of Public Affairs.
