Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) is offering complimentary 6-month memberships to those experiencing unemployment or loss of income due to the spread of the novel coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19. The offer is presented in the spirit of WIT’s mission to “advance women through leadership, networking, and educational opportunities.”
Click here to apply for a complimentary membership and a member of the WIT staff will be in touch.
Additionally, all WIT webinars are being made available for free to both members and non-members through the end of April. Recent webinars have focused on how WIT is staying connected during changing times; women taking risks; and the new kids’ digital regulations including COPPA and CCPA.
At Toy Fair New York last month, WIT and Mattel debuted the new Ruth Handler Mentorship Program.
“This is the industry’s first mentorship program for women designed to advance career growth across the toy industry through mentorship, coaching, professional development, and learning,” said Amy Thompson, chief people officer, Mattel. More details about the program and how to get involved can be found at womenintoys.com.
The Toy Book is a supporting sponsor of Women in Toys.
