WowWee launches UNTAMED ARena, a new mobile augmented reality app that transforms any living room, park, or playground into UNTAMED creatures’ modern-day arena.
Built by HappyGiant, UNTAMED ARena includes 3-D toy recognition for players to bring their toy into the app. Kids will be able to challenge friends and anonymous foes to battles in real time. Using a technique HappyGiant calls “Full Body AR,” the game reacts to players’ movements. Users can dodge, jump, squat, and move around for a physically active experience. Kids can also scale down to tabletop play, where they can pet, play with, feed, and calm their dinosaur.
The more kids play, they’ll unlock unique combat abilities, rewards, and game features and work towards becoming a Master Creature Tamer. With a built-in leaderboard, players can see how they rank against others in the UNTAMED ARena at any time.
The App supports all UNTAMED Raptors and T-Rex toys, and is available for free on iOS devices here, coming soon to Android.
