ZAG is looking to continue its growth by further extending the reach of its consumer products into additional regions.
The company behind Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir appointed Carlotta Caracciolo as its first vice president over the Middle East and Africa. In her new role, Dubai-based Caracciolo will oversee the company’s consumer products strategy in the region with an immediate focus on two properties from the ZAG Heroez portfolio: Miraculous and Ghostforce. Caracciolo joins the company from MGA Entertainment.
Miraculous airs regularly in dozens of countries throughout the Middle East and Africa across Disney Channel and MBC Group. The kid-focused MBC3 is the most popular channel for kids in Northern Africa.

“The Middle East and Africa have become a top priority for ZAG, and the Disney/MBC combination is a perfect duo for us to reach children and families across the region,” says Julian Zag, senior vice president global operations and head of consumer products, ZAG. “Miraculous is garnering strong ratings, particularly in Saudi Arabia, where the series ranked in the No. 1 slot on MBC, following its launch in 2018, and has remained among the top programs ever since.”
“I look forward to growing the licensing and toy footprint in the MEA region, bringing new and exciting collaborations across multiple categories for consumers to experience the brand,” Caracciolo says.
At MGA Entertainment, Caracciolo served as head of sales and licensing in the region with a focus on growing the toy and licensing programs for L.O.L. Surprise! She previously held roles at Shooting Stars, Warner Bros., and NBCUniversal.
