The studio behind Miraculous — Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is getting into gaming.
ZAG appointed game industry vet Elinor Schops as vice president to lead the launch of ZAG Games & Interactive Experiences. The new division will create titles for mobile, PC, consoles, and more based on characters from the ZAG Heroez stable of original properties. The move comes following the success of the first Miraculous mobile game, which has amassed more than 100 million downloads since its release in 2018.
“We are thrilled to have found the ideal executive in Elinor to lead this new division and the talented team we are building while bringing her extensive expertise across entertainment, music, media, and mobile fields to this new important role,” says Julian Zag, executive vice president, global operations at ZAG. “With a renowned reputation as a ‘startup nation’ and a major global player in the gaming industry cross platforms, Israel is a perfect location to launch this new endeavor to manage game development for our phenomenal award-winning stable of brands.”
Schops previously served as vice president of business development at CrazyLabs (formerly TabTale).
