A miraculous new range of toys is set to debut next month.
ZAG, the global studio behind Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, revealed plans to launch its first toy line from the new ZAG Play Toy division. The first toys will span 10 categories and feature the Miraculous brand. ZAG Play will debut the toys at Spielwarenmesse, the international trade fair taking place in Nuremberg, Germany, Feb. 1-5, 2023.
ZAG Play Toy Division will also release products for its adventure series, Ghostforce, and the animated feature Melody — which will star Katy Perry. The new division develops a range of products that aim to bring ZAG’s animated shows to toy aisles everywhere. ZAG hopes to offer fans a complete brand experience, working alongside the company’s licensees to foster a comprehensive brand identity. Carrying out those goals will be the recently appointed James Nunziati, Head of Global Sales, and Helena Perheentupa who will serve as Senior Vice President for the ZAG Play Toy Division.
“Having analyzed demand for Miraculous, we see that there is strong interest for more products and newness from fans,” Perheentupa says. “All of our products feature a high level of detail and quality with a priceline architecture that hits recommended price segments across the global market.”
The inaugural ZAG Play lineup includes a collectible Miraculous Miraball range and a surprise ball that reveals an expandable Kwami plush. ZAG Play Toy Division is also launching Miraculous slime, a cafe set, a macarons stand, a functional mini sewing machine, a trading card game, and much more.
