CWIST Relaunches Kids CWIST for Kids Holiday Charity Campaign

Dec3.CWISTCWIST has relaunched its Kids Cwist for Kids initiative for the holidays, and will donate $2,000 in toys to family-supporting charities. CWIST is an incentive-based digital learning platform where parents and educators share ideas, motivate kids to learn, and teach them life lessons.

Parents use the platform to assign an interactive learning challenge to their kids, called a cwist, which are ready-made or created by the parent. Usually, when a child completes a cwist, they can earn parent-designated rewards, such as a bowl of ice cream or an extra hour of TV. However, for a twist this holiday season, the Kids Cwist for Kids charity initiative connects a parent and a child to a child in need.

Parents assign their children cwists to complete, but instead of their child receiving a reward, a gift will be donated to a child whose family can’t afford holiday presents.

CWIST and Science Buddies Partnering for STEM Education

CWIST LOGOScience Buddies will join the CWIST platform, giving kids and parents additional resources to learn something new and build on their in-classroom science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

CWIST offers a crowd-sourced library of educational and fun challenges for kids ages 5 to 11, including customized content, challenges, and wishes from curated partners. The not-for-profit Science Buddies empowers K to 12 students, parents, and teachers to find free project ideas and help in all areas of science from physics to food science, and music to microbiology.

Together, CWIST and Science Buddies will create customized STEM education challenges for the CWIST platform, available at Membership is free and provides access to thousands of challenges in dozens of categories.

Cwist Adds ThinkFun Games and Fat Brain Toys to Digital Library

CWIST LOGOcwist, Inc., a free, crowd-sourced, digital library of interactive learning challenges for kids, has entered partnerships with educational game manufacturer ThinkFun, Inc. and online retailer Fat Brain Toys.

cwist features a “wish engine” that helps kids ages 5 to 11 make the connection between the things they want and the effort it takes to get them, as they earn parent-approved rewards upon successful completion of a cwist challenge.

cwist will develop challenge content for its platform that enhances the learning experience with ThinkFun’s products and programs. cwist will also cross promote, support and create challenge content for ThinkFun’s events and programs such as Big Games and community game nights. [Read more...]
