Mattel and Mobil 1 are firing up the engines for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour. The eighth annual traveling car show will hit the road next month, giving car enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their custom builds and compete for the ultimate crown: to immortalize their design as a 1:64-scale Hot Wheels vehicle.

The 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour will kick off with a live event on April 26 in Tampa, Fla., in partnership with Walmart. Then, Hot Wheels will take the high-octane action to Walmarts worldwide, traveling to 16 countries with new stops in Benelux, Peru, and Turkey.

The road to the Global Grand Finale will look a little different this year. To better represent the influx of international submissions, the tour will divide into three regional finals: Europe and the Middle East, Latin America, and the U.S. The winner of each region will compete in the Global Grand Finale later this fall, where the design with the most authenticity, creativity, and garage spirit will be inducted into Hot Wheels’ coveted Garage of Legends and recreated as a die-cast vehicle.

In celebration of its partnership with Walmart, U.S. fans can once again participate virtually in the Hot Wheels Legends Tour. Car enthusiasts can enter their passion projects on Walmart.com, vote on their favorites, and get live updates about the tour. The highest-voted online submission will move on and compete in the U.S. Regional finals.

At the U.S. tour dates, visitors can get up close and personal with life-sized Hot Wheels cars while listening to interactive onsite coverage of the new vehicles. Each event will feature activities for car lovers of all ages, like play spaces for kids, premium collector car displays, and more! Little racers can even snag special editions of their favorite Hot Wheels Legends toys exclusively at Walmart.

“What began as a series of U.S. events has grown into a global tour for car and Hot Wheels enthusiasts around the world to share their passion projects while competing for a chance to have their creations immortalized in 1:64-scale,” said Ted Wu, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Design for Vehicles and Building Sets at Mattel. “With the inclusion of Benelux, Peru and Turkey this year, we cannot wait to see what these unique countries and cultures bring to the table as we continue to expand the Hot Wheels Legends Tour globally.”

Submissions for the 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour are open now. Car builders can enter their designs, register for the event, and find the tour’s full schedule at creations.mattel.com.
