Make way for the King of the Monsters.
Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary, has inked a licensing agreement with Heathside Trading and its Khadou Brand for Godzilla merchandise.
The agreement, which was brokered by Rocket Licensing and KJG Ltd., is for a licensed line of merchandise that will include 3D keychains, Squishes, Mini Stickees, and slime inspired by different entries to the Godzilla franchise, which spans nearly 70 years.
“As big fans of the films and TV series, we are excited to offer new ranges of products under our Khadou brand,” says Darren Epstein, New Products Manager for Heathside.
The Godzilla franchise currently features more than 25 live action films, including Godzilla Minus One, which was released in theaters last week; several animated films and series; comic books; video games; and more.
Toho International’s current licensing programs for Godzilla inlcude toys & collectibles, gaming, apparel, accessories, publishing, seasonal, housewares, food & beverage, and more worldwide.
Heathside Trading also has manufacturing and distribution agreements for brands such as Star Trek, Doctor Who, Marvel, and more.
The new Godzilla licensed line will launch in spring 2024 through select retail partners as well as direct-to-consumer through masterreplicas.com.
