Dragon Ball is getting a number of new licensing partners, thanks to efforts from Toei Animation and its North American agent Crunchyroll.

The Dragon Ball franchise is widely successful, with multiple anime series, a collection of video games, a full portfolio of products, and more. Toei and Crunchyroll are adding to the list, with a total of 45 agreements for the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super properties secured in the last 12 months. The agreements include 18 new licenses and 27 license renewals.

Recent launches include the 100 Thieves x Dragon Ball Z apparel collection, and the Higround x Dragon Ball Z keyboard collection. General Mill also saw the release of its limited-time Reese’s Puffs x Dragon Ball Z cereal boxes. This month, Kura Sushi USA dropped the Dragon Ball Super x Kura Bikkura Pon collaboration, offering entertainment, prizes, merchandise, and more to guests at U.S. locations.

Dragon Ball fans have a truly unquenchable demand for branded goods — as illustrated by the breadth and depth our licensed product categories.
— Masayuki Endo, President of Toei Animation

Other licensing agreements for the Dragon Ball brand include Hallmark Cards for Dragon Ball Z Keepsake Ornaments, Funko Pop! ornaments, and more; Jazwares for a collection of Dragon Ball Z Squishmallows plush; TeeTurtle for apparel and accessories featuring Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z characters; Darc Sports for apparel; and more.

Toei Animation and Crunchyroll both attended this year’s Licensing Expo, with Toei at Booth No. C170 and Crunchyroll at Booth No. Q202 to meet with potential licensees for the Dragon Ball franchise.

Licensing Expo attendees can visit The Toy Book and The Pop Insider in Booth. No. G234 to pick up copies of our new issues — while supplies last — and discuss opportunities with our brands.
