Upper Deck reveals new details and mechanics about its original trading card game (TCG), Rush of Ikorr, which combines competitive, cooperative, and customizable gameplay.
Rush of Ikorr will introduce new cards known as Infusion Cards. These clear overlay cards offer unique deck-building customizations and transform Champion Cards, granting new abilities and traits.
Unlike traditional TCGs, Rush of Ikorr features new gameplay mechanics, such as 3-v-3 battles. With this, players can assign themselves special roles as they collectively battle against their opponents and support their allies. Rush of Ikorr is also suitable for 1-v-1 and 2-v2 gameplay.
Rush of Ikorr features a combination of cultures and mythologies, such as Greek and Egyptian. The game is also great for beginners and inexperienced players, as it features an easy-to-learn approach and a simplistic starting point.
Card collectors can expand their decks with Rush of Ikorr: Act I, Part 1 “Shattered Chaos,” which features four starter decks ($19.99 each): Olympian Thunder, Moonlit Magic, Stunning Presence, and Pharoh’s Command. Each deck consists of 54 cards with three Infusion Cards and an exclusive Foil Variant Avatar Card.
“We feel confident that Upper Deck fans and the TCG community as a whole will enjoy the way we’ve recreated the trading card game experience, adding team-play elements and card combinations that offer unpredictable twists and turns they can challenge themselves to master,” says Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck.
Rush of Ikorr launches in select hobby and gaming shops on June 11. To learn more about Upper Deck and its collection of trading cards, visit upperdeck.com.
