Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America is launching Tamagotchi Uni, a “unique, united, and universal” device created for the modern digital world. With this new spin on a familiar virtual pet, Tamagotchi aims to connect fans globally.
With Tamagotchi Uni, fans can now play together through the Tamaverse, the metaverse of the Tamagotchi world. The Tamaverse includes Tama Arena, Tama Parties, Tama Fashion, and Tama Travel — expanding the fun on a global level. Tamagotchi Uni features a unique experience for fans including DIY activities, exploring with the character, and an in-device social platform.
Tamagotchi Uni personalizes the virtual pet experience with numerous character options, allowing Tamagotchi pets to have different looks, personalities, and hobbies. The ability to connect to Wi-Fi gives fans a chance to connect, customize their characters in unique ways, and have access to downloadable content and updates.

Charli D’Amelio, TikTok sensation, entrepreneur, and TV star, has been named global ambassador for Tamagotchi Uni. “I’m a huge Tamagotchi fan and I’m so excited to be able to partner with the brand to launch an all-new device designed for a new generation,” she says. “The Tamagotchi Uni is a whole new experience and gives fans the opportunity to customize the play in an exciting and interactive new way.”
Later this month, Charli D’Amelio will kick off the global launch with a series of TikTok videos, Instagram content, press and interviews, and an exclusive media/influencer event preview in New York City.
Tamagotchi Uni is available in purple or pink shells with an included wearable wristband. It is available now for preorder on Amazon and will launch at mass retailers beginning July 15.
