Visional Pop has partnered with Malaysia’s Niko Studio to bring the animated character Bichi Mao to audiences in North America. This marks the first major international expansion for the Southeast Asian sensation, created by artist Olive Yong.
“Niko Studio has created a character with incredible charm and cultural resonance in Bichi Mao,” says Benjamin Grubbs, Director of Visional Pop. “This collaboration exemplifies our mission to support creator-driven properties and scale them into global franchises.”
Bichi Mao has become a cultural phenomenon in Malaysia and beyond, appearing in collaborations with restaurant chains, fashion lines, and beauty brands. The partnership introduces the character to new audiences with region-specific content and consumer products designed for the North American market.

“Bringing Bichi Mao to a global audience has always been our dream, and this partnership brings us one step closer to making that dream a reality,” adds Wee Lim, Co-founder of Niko Studio.
Niko Studio, the Kuala Lumpur-based creator of Bichi Mao, is teaming with Visional Pop to leverage its expertise in market entry and franchise building. Together, the companies aim to establish Bichi Mao as a global property with strong fan engagement.
