The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will host an upcoming business training webinar to provide toy manufacturers, importers, and sellers with requirement updates for manufacturing safe and compliant toys in the U.S. and Canada. The webinar will take place on June 24 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Speakers from the CPSC and Health Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Program will present a high-level overview of regulatory requirements for toys in both countries, and describe how product regulators on both sides of the border are working together.
Topics will include:
- An understanding of the federal agencies in the U.S. and Canada that regulate manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of toys and other consumer products
- An overview of how each country regulates toys for children
- Examples of how to apply the regulations to sample products
Registration for the free session may be completed at the CPSC website; attendees will receive log-in instructions for the webinar via email after registering.
