On Nov. 28, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will welcome a new balloon inspired by DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures’ Gabby’s Dollhouse. This marks the first time Gabby’s Dollhouse will float down New York City streets.
The balloon features Gabby and her friend Pandy Paws. It will showcase Gabby’s cat ears, pink sweater, striped shirt, jeans, and pink sneakers. The show and its characters spread positivity, joy, and self-confidence. This holiday season, the new balloon aims to do the same.
“Since 1924, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has featured entertainment’s most exciting and recognizable characters, which is why we’re delighted to welcome Gabby and Pandy Paws to this year’s fantastic lineup,” Jordan Dabby, Producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, says. “This Thanksgiving, fans across the country, along with enthusiastic crowds in New York City, will be excited to see Gabby take flight and spread positivity, joy, and, of course, holiday cheer in this year’s Parade.”
“Every year, NBCUniversal looks forward to kicking off the holiday season with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” David O’Connor, President, Franchise Management & Brand Strategy, NBCUniversal, adds. “Gabby’s Dollhouse is one of the fastest-growing preschool brands around the globe, and we are so excited Gabby is joining this year’s parade lineup. We can’t wait for her and Pandy to soar through the streets of New York City and into homes across the country.”
The 10th season of Gabby’s Dollhouse recently premiered on Netflix, and the series has resulted in several different toy collections.
“I am so excited to see the Gabby’s Dollhouse balloon debuting in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” Laila Lockhart Kraner, the voice of Gabby in Gabby’s Dollhouse, says. “When I started on the series I never imagined I’d one day see a Gabby balloon taking to the skies. On the show we say ‘It’s time to get tiny’ before jumping into the dollhouse, but this time around it’s time to get huge and I cannot wait!”
Families can watch the balloon on NBC and Peacock. Additional balloons, performers, and more are available to view at macys.com.
