Exploding Kittens is a company well known for its namesake game that asks players to collect cat cards, attack others, and defuse the Exploding Kitten. In anticipation of the upcoming Exploding Kittens Netflix adult animated series, the company has released a new standalone game featuring themes from the show.
“Adapting Exploding Kittens into a TV show has been one of our most satisfying creative endeavors,” says Elan Lee, Co-Creator and CEO of Exploding Kittens. “Not only will fans of the upcoming show get to see their new favorite characters on all the Good vs. Evil cards, but new and existing fans will get an exciting gameplay experience with a new game mechanic that pits players against each other in a battle of wits to compete for the most powerful card in the game!”

The new cards include two based on characters from the show. Godcat can mimic other cards and Devilcat will make players immediately explode unless they have a Defuse card on hand. Other additions to the game include power cards such as Armageddon and Raising Heck.
Though the series is for adults, Exploding Kittens: Good vs. Evil remains appropriate for kids ages 7 and up (like the original game). The game allows for up to five players and takes around 15 minutes to play for a fast-paced card game experience.
Exploding Kittens: Good vs. Evil is available now at a variety of retailers, and will be dropping on ExplodingKittens.com Aug. 1. The Netflix series of the same name is expected to release to the streaming service later this year.
