GennComm is bringing a new tactile toy experience to kids with a patented compound that creates a unique furry slime.
Headed by Genna Rosenberg, a toy and licensing industry veteran, GennComm is moving to expand its portfolio of licensees with a new patent. The company recently received its fifth U.S. patent for tactile sensory toys — this time for a slime compound.
The fiber-in-slime furry compound makes slime products furry, hairy, or extra stretchy. The compound was first licensed to ZURU, which sold several Hairy Slime products. GennComm has reacquired the licensing rights from ZURU and is currently in search of a new licensee to offer its now-patented slime compound.
We have interest and momentum for multiple product segments within our patented tactile and sensory consumer products portfolio, which includes GennComm’s four U.S. patents and know-how for memory foam in collectible plush toys, this fun and unique furry slime patent, and several pending provisional and full patent applications in the works for toys, apparel, and more.
With a focus on product development, licensing, and public relations, GennComm is a global consumer products agency with various offerings across the industry. Its memory foam plush toy design was first licensed to Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company for the Squeezamals plush brand. The memory foam plush is now in use by the new toy company Wyncor for its Miraball platform, which includes brands such as Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir from ZAG, SpongeBob SquarePants, and more.
All of GennComm’s technologies are invented in-house by Jeremy Brian Medwed, Director of Innovation at GennComm’s ImaGENNation division. “With fiber-in-slime, there are so many options to innovate with different formulations,” says Medwed. “Variations change the consistency, making it extra stretchy, giving it more texture, making it furry, fuzzy, webby, colorful, relaxing to squish, and even gross, capitalizing on a myriad of toy trends.”
