Hasbro is leveling up its Board of Directors with the appointment of Doug Bowser, the recently retired President and COO of Nintendo of America. Joining him on the board is consumer products veteran Carla Vernón, CEO of The Honest Company

Bowser retired from Nintendo of America Dec. 31, 2025, after spending more than a decade with the company, including six years as President and COO. During his tenure, Bowser led the company through unprecedented growth, driven in part by the success of the Nintendo Switch and the record-breaking launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. With his background in sales and global scaling, he helped deepen Nintendo’s presence in Latin America by re-entering the Brazilian market and expanding the company’s licensing efforts through new merchandising partnerships and location-based experiences.

We are delighted to have Doug and Carla join our seasoned and dynamic Board of Directors. Doug and Carla bring extensive leadership experience across consumer brands and franchise management. Their expertise and guidance will be invaluable as Hasbro continues to execute its long-term innovation and growth strategy.
— Rich Stoddart, Chair of the Board of Directors, Hasbro

Vernón has served as the CEO of The Honest Company since January 2023. In three years, she has deployed a variety of financial and operational strategies that better position the company for sustained, long-term growth. She brings years of consumer product experience to the board, including her roles as Vice President of Consumables Categories at Amazon and as General Mills’ Corporate Office and Operating Unit President, transforming classic foods into iconic, instantly recognizable brands such as Cheerios, Annie’s, Nature Valley, and Lärabar.

“Doug and Carla bring deep expertise in building iconic brands, creating meaningful consumer experiences, and driving innovation and transformation across their respective industries,” said Chris Cocks, CEO of Hasbro. “Their leadership will be invaluable as we continue to execute our Playing To Win strategy and deliver extraordinary play experiences to fans around the world.”
