Hasbro’s newest collection of Star Wars toys includes a new line of role-play lightsabers and a droid companion.
The Lightsaber Forge Kyber Core collection features five new play lightsabers that kids can use to re-create their favorite scenes from the Star Wars movies and TV shows. Each of the lightsabers in this collection is modeled after a character’s saber, including Baylan Skoll, Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader along with the Darksaber. However, the handles of each saber are translucent, so kids can see the inner workings, including the kyber crystal.
These lightsabers can also be taken apart, so kids can mix and match pieces of their favorite lightsabers to create one of their own. The Darksaber and Sabine Wren and Darth Vader lightsabers also have an electrical component that makes the kyber crystal housed inside of it glow.
Hasbro’s latest launch also includes the R5-D4 Droidables figure. This 4-inch figure is great for on-the-go play and features more than 20 lights and sound effects inspired by the droid featured in A New Hope and The Mandalorian.
The Lightsaber Forge Kyber Core collection and the R5-D4 Droidables figure will be available at major retailers later this spring. R5-D4 will be available exclusively at Walmart until Aug. 1.
