The local Girl Scouts aren’t the only ones who have thin mints for sale.
Hilco Sweets revealed new Girl Scout Thin Mints Milk Chocolate Malt Balls, inspired by the well-known Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies. The new candy has a crunchy, malted milk ball coating in Girl Scout Thin Mints-inspired milk chocolate for a decadent innovation in the confection category.
“Malted milk-centered confections have existed for years with little or no innovation,” says Lou DiMarco, Executive Vice President of Hilco Sweets. “This exciting new licensing relationship for Hilco Sweets and Girl Scouts of the USA , is truly ‘mint’ to be, giving chocolate mint treat lovers a delicious light, crispy malted confection combination — inspired by proven cookie favorite Girl Scout Thin Mints.”
The new candy treat will be available in late summer 2023 in 4-ounce bags for $5.99. They will be available to retailers in packs of 12.
In recent years, the confectionery category has continued to grow its presence at independent toy stores, specialty retailers, and gift shops with an increasing array of licensed products.
