Who said disco is dead? This spring, Hootenanny Games is launching new board games that prove the boogie is alive and well.
Following the success of last year’s SIXEM Sour Patch Kids dice game, Hootenanny Games is adding two new titles to their award-winning lineup: Disco Island Escape and Feelin’ Cute. Featuring colorful animal characters and engaging gameplay, these games will add groovy giggles to families’ next game nights.
Teased at PAX Unplugged in December, Disco Island Escape challenges players to race lemurs to the top of Disco Ball Mountain to avoid the volcanic Disco Inferno. Players will match cards to dance across the lava, give others a case of “Disco Fever,” and boogie their lemurs to safety. The game combines strategic problem-solving with a charming cast of characters for a funky tropical twist on classic board games.
In Feelin’ Cute, players ages 8 and up rank the cuteness of a variety of animals. Players will place an adorable animal card on the Cuteness Meter, and the Cuteness Boss will secretly decide if their card is more or less cute than the original, coyly saying, “I’m feelin’ cute!” Using cardboard animal paws, players guess where the Cuteness Boss ranked the animal, and the closest guess wins the whole kit and ka-poodle.
Feelin’ Cute won’t hit shelves until Feb. 5, but Disco Island Escape is available now at the links below. For more information about the upcoming release, visit Hootenanny Games’ website.
