Invisible Universe is an animation studio with a focus on web-based content. The company is known for its animated characters with accounts across social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
The studio has just announced the hiring of Jonathan Schneider as its new President. Schneider will oversee the continued growth of the animation studio and explore other options for driving new revenue, such as technologies associated with AI, motion capture, and real-time rendering.
Jonathan is a bit of a Hollywood unicorn in that he has straddled both creative and operations at executive levels for some of the biggest companies in media. He shares the vision for Invisible Universe to continue redefining what it means to launch new franchises for this next generation.
Schneider has prior experience working in senior positions at a number of other studios. He initially worked within Hollywood agencies before moving to a position as a creative executive at Nickelodeon. He then spent time at Disney managing animation teams and Skydance, where he worked to optimize studio operations.
Schneider’s addition to the Invisible Universe team comes after the introduction of a new animated series, Dance with Qai Qai, which premiered on YouTube this past January. The series centers Qai Qai, a character inspired by Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia’s favorite doll. Other characters from Invisible Universe include Ember, a princess from “the otherworld”; Lovie, a heart-shaped kid from Charmvale; and Clydeo, a rescue dog living with celebrity Jennifer Aniston.
Invisible Universe aims to put itself at the forefront of the changing animation industry, with its character intellectual properties that emphasize social media content. The studio has expressed interest in expanding to the world of games, film, merchandising, and more. With Schneider at the helm of efforts to adopt and embrace new technology, Invisible Universe plans to continue to grow its offerings.
