Invisible Universe, an internet-first animation studio, has named Segal Licensing as its licensing agent for the U.S. and Canada. The partnership is a result of increasing demands for the studio’s social media-inspired animated content among its various franchises.
Segal Licensing will be responsible for arranging partnerships in a wide range of categories including toys, apparel, electronics, accessories, and more. The agency is also tasked with expanding Invisible Universe’s retail relations while managing its growing list of partners.
Invisible Universe is known for its incorporation of animation across social media platforms. The company’s franchises include Qai Qai, inspired by tennis pro Serena Williams’ daughter’s doll; Clydeo, inspired by actress Jennifer Aniston’s dog; Squeaky & Roy, the long-lost toys of social media influencers Dixie and Charlie D’Amelio; among others.
“Invisible Universe is truly on the cutting edge, creating next-generation animation franchises that have quickly developed a huge fandom,” says Stuart Pollock, President of Segal Licensing. “We see big potential in what they have created and we are looking forward to collaborating with them on bringing their exceptional line-up of franchises deeper into categories where they already have a presence as well as brand new ones.”
Shane Mang, Head of Licensing at Invisible Universe, adds, “Invisible Universe is at the forefront of how consumers are discovering new animated franchises and we want to bring this same innovation to the world of consumer products. By partnering with the stellar team at Segal Licensing, a leading consumer products agency known for developing creative partnerships and licensing programs, we know we will be able to bring unique and exciting lines to fans that lets them engage with their favorite characters well beyond the screen.”
