Industry big JAKKS Pacific and costume design company Disguise have partnered up for a shared panel at WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. The panel will include previews of both JAKKS Pacific figures and toys as well as costumes from Disguise.
One confirmed preview is a first look at the Rumble R/C Kart Racer JAKKS Pacific has developed for its line of toys inspired by the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie. The R/C has a range of 100 feet, light-up tailpipes, and a moving Mario head and hands.
“Our new line for The Super Mario Bros. Movie is flying off shelves,” says Craig Drobis, Senior Vice President of Marketing. “We are proud to take you through all of the great details and features, as well as what’s in the works for the fall across our other brands, and make some fun announcements for fans and collectors.”
Other reveals from JAKKS we can expect include 2023 releases with brands like Sonic the Hedgehog, Apex Legends, Beavis and Butthead, and The Big Lebowski. The latter two will be featured in a brand new line of products, Shelf Talkers, available for pre-sale in early April.
Disguise, in its portion of the panel, will be revealing a new costume line inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie. Additionally, the costume maker will have product additions featuring Minecraft and Sonic Prime.
WonderCon is a huge comic book, pop culture, and science fiction convention held yearly in California. The convention features a full series of events and panels with a focus on everything from film, comics, tabletop gaming, and more.
The JAKKS Pacific and Disguise panel takes place tomorrow, March 24 from 5-6 p.m. in Room 213CD. It will include previews mentioned above as well as giveaways for attendees, Q&As with development teams, and more elements yet to be revealed.
