The Toy Book is heading to Licensing Expo, and today the event organizers launched an updated Meetings Platform for attendees to utilize before the event, which runs from May 21-23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. New features will streamline booking meetings and searching for specific brands, intellectual property (IP), companies, and people.
The Meetings Platform, launched in 2016, is designed to help visitors make connections and maximize productivity at Licensing Expo. Sponsored by The Brand Liaison, the updated platform includes new search capabilities by geographic location and IP category, session filters for first-time attendees and new exhibitors, and calendar syncing.
Updates also include the ability to purchase opening night party tickets through the platform. Attendees can also view the contact information of company representatives before the Expo begins and add keynotes and seminars to their calendars. Licensing Expo participants can also book meetings in advance through the updated platform.
“It is with no surprise that last year there were over 250,000 searches and more than 6,800 meetings booked via the Meetings Platform, the highest to date,” says Anna Knight, Senior Vice President of the Global Licensing Group. “This year’s enriched platform further deepens the pre-show experience, guiding meetings and connections with ease. The platform is also the best discovery tool to find unique and emerging IP from all over the world, so you are not just relying on the brands you already know. Over 5,000 brands will be showcased at this year’s event, providing something truly for every product and retail space.”
“Finally, all in one place show planning! No more multiple calendars for all our meetings — navigating personal inboxes, company schedules, appointments, seminars, matchmaking and managing different time zones … the new Licensing Expo Meetings Platform solves all of this and more,” says Steven Heller, The Brand Liaison President.
Visitors and exhibitors must register for Licensing Expo to gain access to the Meetings Platform. For more information, or to register, visit licensingexpo.com.
