Mattel Celebrates Music with New Barbie Career and Role Model Dolls

Mattel celebrates the world of music by announcing the release of two new Barbie dolls inspired by the industry: the 2025 Career of the Year: Women in Music set and the Alicia Keys and Ann Mincieli Barbie Role Model dolls. 

The latest addition to the Barbie Career line will feature two dolls inspired by the industry: a Musical Artist and a Tour Manager. Exploring careers on and off the stage, each doll in the set comes with career-related clothing and accessories, including a microphone, an all-access pass, a guitar, and more. 

For the Barbie Role Model dolls, Mattel honors 17-time Grammy award-winning singer Alicia Keys and her recording and mix engineer Ann Mincieli. These one-of-a-kind dolls are made in the duo’s likeness and adorn She Is The Music t-shirts, which honor Keys’ nonprofit organization, which aims to increase the number of women in the industry. 

While the set is not for sale, the Barbie Role Model dolls will be auctioned off via Bidding for Good, with proceeds going to She Is the Music. The auction ends on March 2, and consumers can bid at biddingforgood.com.
