Mattel expands the Barbie universe with a new animated series. Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives will premiere on Netflix starting Aug. 28, featuring eight 25-minute episodes of new adventures and mysteries.

In the second season of the Barbie Mysteries series, Barbie “Malibu” Roberts and Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts head to the Malibu Beach Bash festival, where they find a string of mysterious thefts. It’s up to the Barbie duo to discover the clues, save their missing friends, and stop the culprit.
Along with new episodes, Mattel will launch five original songs and toys inspired by the series. The toy collection includes an Ultimate Beach Buggy Vehicle, Barbie Mysteries Beach Detectives dolls, playsets, and accessories. Beginning this summer, consumers can purchase the Barbie line in select retailers and online at mattelshop.com.
The Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives series joins the lineup of Barbie content currently available on Netflix. With a Netflix account, subscribers can experience an array of series and specials, including Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase (Season 1), Barbie & Teresa: Recipe for Friendship, Barbie: A Touch of Magic, Barbie: It Takes Two, Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, and more.
