The summer of Barbie is getting even bigger.

HGTV’s upcoming competition series, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge, will see eight teams of stars from across the network turn a Southern California home into a real-life replica of the iconic Mattel playhouse. Hosted by supermodel, author, designer, and entrepreneur Ashley Graham, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge will premiere this summer and feature 15 home design and renovation experts across HGTV franchises, as well as special celebrity guests.

Throughout the four-episode series produced by  Mission Control and Mattel Television, teams will be tasked to glamorize different locations within the home to bring forth era-specific designs that encapsulate the nostalgia of the beloved Barbie Dreamhouse.

“By aligning two admired brands – HGTV and Mattel’s Barbie – and mobilizing the power of the best-in-class portfolio of Warner Bros. Discovery, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge will deliver a unique, visually stunning payoff for millions of fans who want to see their favorite HGTV stars bring a treasured childhood icon to life,” says Head of Content at HGTV, Loren Ruch.

Competing in the Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge are stars from Married to Real Estate, Help! I Wrecked My House, Beachside Brawl, Windy City Rehab, Farmhouse Fixer, Christina on the Coast, Bargain Block, 100 Day Dream Home, and Luxe for Less.

HGTV will be incorporating cross-network Barbie-themed content and promotions to its network. Barbie-themed elements will also be implemented into episodes of Food Network’s Summer Baking Championship and Beachside Brawl. The show and the upcoming Warner Bros. movie will be featured in a multi-page editorial profile in HGTV magazine, along with behind-the-scenes content shared on WBD’s social media platforms.

The series arrives alongside the July premiere of the Barbie movie from director Greta Gerwig.
