This week’s gaming updates bring a mix of epic battles, family-friendly fun, and collectible adventures. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment arrives on Nintendo Switch 2, exploring the war that came before Tears of the Kingdom. Preorders open for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and Yakuza Kiwami titles, while Nintendo Switch Online members can try the Kirby Air Riders demo. Nintendo highlights new Switch 2 releases, preorders, and Kirby Air Riders demo

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is available on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players the chance to experience the full conflict that preceded The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game explores the ancient war against the Demon King, featuring playable characters such as Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and others, along with mechanics like Sync Strikes and Zonai device abilities.

Preorders are open for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, a new turn-based RPG set in the Monster Hunter universe, launching March 13. The story follows two heirs from warring kingdoms who venture into forbidden territory after a mysterious monster tied to calamity appears. Preorders are also live for Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on Nintendo Switch 2, both arriving Nov. 13. Players who already own Yakuza Kiwami on Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Switch 2 version at a discount.

Nintendo Switch Online members can download a free demo for Kirby Air Riders and participate in timed online test sessions on the weekends of Nov. 8-9 and Nov. 15-16. The demo includes basic tutorials, City Trial online play, and offline Air Ride matches.

In Nintendo Music, the Animal Crossing: New Leaf soundtrack has been added, including themed playlists and hourly town themes for ambient listening. Additional new games, indie releases, and ongoing Nintendo eShop deals are also live across Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Hello Kitty and Friends: Freeze Tag Party is available for the Nintendo Switch, offering a fast-paced, family-friendly twist on classic tag with Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and more than 30 other Sanrio characters. Published by Nighthawk Interactive and developed by Imagineer, the game features team-based magical tag matches, more than 70 solo missions, character leveling with evolving abilities, and a dress-up system for unlocking outfits and new characters. Players can jump in solo or enjoy local and split-screen co-op, with both physical and digital editions available for purchase.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Adds Mega Dimension DLC and Diancie Side Mission

The Pokémon Company International releases Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC Dec. 10 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, introducing Hyperspace Lumiose, an alternate version of Lumiose City shaped by spatial distortions. Guided by doughnut chef Ansha and Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, players will explore the new dimension and encounter newly debuted Mega Evolutions, including Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur. Additionally, a new side mission featuring Mythical Pokémon Diancie is now available in-game, with players able to claim a Diancite Stone via the Mystery Gift feature to begin the mission. Completing it allows Trainers to catch Diancie and unlock its Mega Evolution.

The Sandbox launches Peaky Blinders: Garrison Lane

The Sandbox has launched Peaky Blinders: Garrison Lane, a free PC and Mac gaming experience based on the series. Set in the Heart of Birmingham Plot, players rise through the ranks of the Shelby family by earning respect, taking risks, and evading the law. This marks the first Peaky Blinders metaverse gaming experience.
