The North American edition of the Global Licensing Group’s Brand & Licensing Innovation Summit (B&LIS) has provided insight into its agenda for the upcoming in-person two-day event. The agenda specifically highlights four pillars: market trends, retail disruption, sustainability, and digital advances. Retailer insights, spotlights on growth categories, and comprehensive digital and content innovation are some additional focal points of the event. There will also be opportunities for senior licensing and retail leaders to learn how to adapt to changes in the consumer.
The live conference will serve to connect expert brand licensing leaders to discuss the future of consumer products, the fluctuating retail landscape, and the importance of adaptability. There are expected to be more than 200 licensing, manufacturing, and retail professionals in attendance for a trend-driven agenda that promotes networking, dialogue, and action to propel the licensing industry forward.
“The licensing and retail industries are undergoing disruptive change, from navigating supply chain challenges, the rising cost of living impacting consumer spend, to unprecedented levels of content consumption,” says Anna Knight, senior vice president of the Global Licensing Group at Informa Markets. “There is so much to discuss amongst the industry as societal behaviors continue to shift and B&LIS is the perfect platform to do this. While it’s an exciting time that presents a huge amount of opportunity for the licensing industry, adapting to these changes comes with challenges that require cross-industry discussion.”
The agenda for the B&LIS in North America will explore major issues impacting the future of the industry. Alongside the agenda, there will be conference sessions, workshops, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities that will supply attendees with endless chances to learn from industry experts and brainstorm alongside retailers and licensors. Following the success of Licensing Expo which welcomed a record-high number of retail attendees, the need for industry experts to meet and discuss recent trends comes at a crucial time. The summit meets live in New York City starting November 8.
