Nostalgia is on the way to New York Comic Con (NYCC). As the event draws nearer, The Loyal Subjects (TLS) is stocking its booth with licensed collectibles from beloved ’80s and ’90s brands.
Attendees can collect a classic My Buddy plush doll, wearing the toy’s iconic striped PJs, overalls, and soft hat. If they’d prefer a berry bestie, fans can snag Strawberry Shortcake and Orange Blossom as old school rag dolls, or rip open a CheeBee surprise bag for a sweet Strawberry Shortcake figure or keychain.
Rainbow Brite shines as both a plush and a fashion doll, complete with brushable hair and her signature sunny style. Because her friends are never far behind, fans can also collect colorful cuties like Indigo and Twink as soft plush. The brand also features in two sets of CheeBee mystery bags — either minifigures or keychains — so collectors can take a bit of brightness with them wherever they go.

Toy City meets today’s trends with a limited-edition batch of surprise boxes. There are four different series to collect, each inspired by a different Toy City character: Mr. Pa, the brand’s adorable panda mascot; Laura, the starry-eyed, stubborn clown; Mika, a wild child raised by monkeys; and Monboo, who has a passion for food and fashion. Inside, fans will find a charming mystery figure, perfect for collecting, displaying, and reliving the nostalgia.
Visitors can shop for these retro collectibles and more at Booth No. 1660 throughout NYCC. To browse the rest of TLS’s throwback toys, visit theloyalsubjects.com.
