Following a successful trip to Frogtown Hollow, Plastic Meatball and The Jim Henson Co. are teaming up for another licensing adventure.

Under a new licensing pact, Plastic Meatball will develop an extensive range of consumer products to mark the 25th anniversary of the beloved sci-fi series, Farscape. The line will include toys and collectibles, games and puzzles, apparel, housewares, limited-edition artwork, and more.

Mark Morse, President of Plastic Meatball, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s a real thrill to curate such an expansive array of merchandise for such an impactful and seminal series as Farscape. The passionate fan base of ‘Scapers’ has just continued to grow over the last quarter-century since the series’ debut, and we’re committed to designing a catalog of products that will not only be true to the spirit of the show but will also be deserving of a prominent place in their collections.”

Farscape, an Emmy-nominated series created by Rockne S. O’Bannon, follows astronaut John Crichton’s adventures as he navigates a world of alien cultures aboard a starship. The series, acclaimed for its blend of live-action, digital effects, and state-of-the-art puppetry, has secured its place in the pantheon of cult TV shows.

“Plastic Meatball’s innovative Farscape collection will satisfy the Scaper community’s desire for new memorabilia that honors this landmark series’ place in the sci-fi canon,” comments Melissa Segal, Head of Global Consumer Products for The Jim Henson Co.

Beginning today, March 19, Plastic Meatball will tantalize fans awaiting merchandise from the new collection by offering a limited “timed” edition 25th Anniversary T-shirt. The special offering will be available until midnight on March 25, after which the shirt will be retired.

Plastic Meatball’s inaugural collection of Farscape merchandise is slated to debut in the fourth quarter of this year, with further items and line extensions to follow. Products will initially launch on the company’s website with retail distribution to follow.

The Jim Henson Co. previously collaborated with Plastic Meatball on products inspired by Labyrinth and Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas.
