Spielwarenmesse eG is readying for its big 2024 show with a full slate of activities and presentations for the press.
One of the biggest international trade shows for toys and games, Spielwarenmesse has been inviting industry insiders and journalists across the globe to see the newest products and innovations the toy world has to offer. This year, the show will run from Jan. 30 – Feb. 3 in Nuremberg, Germany and will welcome members of the media specifically with several returning and new events, including a PressDay now taking place on the first day of the fair.
All of the presentations will be taking place at the heart of the action. Because of the new schedule running from Tuesday to Saturday, the PressPreview, which used to take place on the day before the fair, is switching to this new format.
Press representatives can spend the first day of the show taking full advantage of a number of exhibitors hosting activities. Some will take place at specific times, with Hape/Toynamics at 9:15 a.m. in Hall 3A, Bruder at 9:45 a.m. in Hall 6, Schmidt Spiele at 10:30 a.m. in Hall 10.1, Kosmos at 11 a.m. in Hall 10.0, Ravensburger at 11:45 a.m. in Hall 12.0, Playmobil at 12:15 p.m. in Hall 12.2, Kekz at 1 p.m. in Hall 4A, Carrera/Revell at 2 p.m. in Hall 12.2, Heunec at 2:30 p.m. in Hall 12.2, Supermoms4u Foundation/Happy Threads at 3 p.m. in Hall 1, and Mattel (prior registration required) at 4 p.m. in Hall 12.2.
The parade of press events doesn’t end on the first day of the fair. Things continue into Wednesday with winners of the ToyAwards announced by moderator Jennifer Braun at 10:30 a.m. across from the Toy Business Forum. Following the ToyAward announcements in six product categories, a guided tour of the StartUpArea will be offered. Press members will get the chance to learn about new entries into the industry, with those interested invited to meet at the Lounge in Hall 3A/B02 at 12 p.m.
The Toy Book will be in attendance at Spielwarenmesse this year. Contact Adventure Media & Events’ Vice President & Group Publisher Jackie Breyer (jackie@toybook.com) or Executive Director of Sales & Marketing James Devin (jd@toybook.com) to book an appointment in Nuremberg.
