Spielwarenmesse, a global trade fair, has identified three different global toy trends for next year through the work of its TrendCommittee — Discover!, Brands For Fans, and MetaToys.
The first trend, Discover!, is intended to assist retailers in uncovering a variety of new products from different themes and backgrounds. Through Discover!, kids can dive deeper into new cultures and worlds and explore the unknown.
Brands For Fans encourages fans of all ages to rediscover their love for toys and other products. Timeless games, like The Rubik’s Cube, have withstood years of enjoyment, inspiring this new fascination with retro products.
The third trend, MetaToys, embraces the new uses of technology and the metaverse. MetaToys encourages the use of products that can be played in Web3 and beyond.
Trade visitors can learn more about these new trends at Spielwarenmesse, which takes place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from Feb. 1-5. Each trend will have its own section of the fair for visitors to test out potential products and learn more about each trend. The Toy Business Forum will also be delivering presentations on the three currents, in addition to covering industry events.
