Spin Master, the global children’s entertainment company, has appointed David Voss as Executive Vice President, Global Toy Design and Development. Voss will fill the newly created position next month at Spin Master’s Los Angeles office.
In his new role, Voss will oversee the co-creation of product development vision and manufacturing strategy. He will also oversee all design, inventor relations, advanced concepts, visual branding and packaging, and engineering. Voss will report to Global President and Chief Executive Officer Max Rangel.
Voss most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Product Design, Consumer Products and Parks & Retail at Comcast NBC Universal, where he oversaw a global team of product developers for toys, publishing, and hardlines. He has also managed popular brands like Hot Wheels, Nerf, and Barbie entertainment and collaborated with storytellers such as Warner Bros., Pixar, Disney, and Cartoon Network.
“David has worked within every aspect of the kids’ entertainment businesses and brings an immense understanding of breakthrough product design and development for world-renowned franchises and brands,” Rangel says. “We are excited to have him join Spin Master to supercharge our innovation and continue to build on our legacy of creating magical play experiences and ‘wow’ moments for children globally.”
This new role builds on the company’s commitment to creating disruptive play experiences and plans to reinvigorate toy innovation.
