This isn’t just any Rubik’s Cube — it’s a Rubik’s Cube to help save the planet!
Spin Master recently released Rubik’s Re-Cube as part of its “Playsponsible” initiative to manufacture toys that are as environmentally conscious as they are fun. The Re-Cube is a first-of-its-kind 3×3 Rubik’s toy made from 100% recycled ABS plastic. On top of that, the cube’s packaging is made from completely recycled cardboard, giving it the sustainability stamp of approval by the FSC.
The Rubik’s Cube features six colored sides, each made up of nine squares. Kids can jumble up the sides to mix up the puzzle, then twist, turn, and rotate the Rubik’s Cube until each of the six sides has only one solid color.
The Re-Cube adds to Spin Master’s new mission to reduce its impact on the environment. If your kid suddenly grows out of their Rubik’s Cube phase (as they sometimes do), no problem! By partnering with TerraCycle, Spin Master looks to release products that families can recycle and help make our planet shine.
Other eco-friendly toy lines from Spin Master include Games for a Shared Planet and GUND’s Sustainably Soft Friends.
The Rubik’s Re-Cube is available on Amazon for $12.99.
