Women in Toys, Licensing, and Entertainment (WiT) is raising awareness about mental health.
Launching in tandem with National Mental Health Month, WiT announced its newest initiative, WiT Wellness. The year-round initiative is designed to raise awareness and create conversations around mental health and wellbeing, and to inspire individuals and companies to incorporate mental wellness into their lives.
WiT Wellness aims to share the resources women and their allies can use to manage their wellbeing and mental health. Additionally, WiT will host ongoing constructive conversations focused on diffusing the stigma around mental health.
“My hope is that the more we talk about mental health issues, the less stigma there is attached to getting help and seeking support,” says Janice Ross, WiT president. “We are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our members, and I’m excited to see how the WiT Wellness Program can make a positive difference in the lives of women in our community and throughout our industry.”
WiT Wellness will run a variety of programs throughout the month of May. WiT members can register on the organization’s website.
