The Simpsons Honors 25 Years of Celebrity Guest Stars with Figures, Collectibles

TheSimpsons25The latest line-up of celebrities in The Simpsons exclusive 25 of the Greatest Guest Stars program will include Buzz Aldrin, Tom Jones, Elvis Costello, Weird Al Yankovic, and Aerosmith.

The limited-edition collection includes figures, collectibles, and more featuring the animated likenesses of 25 of the most celebrated guest stars as they appeared on the TV show. The collection results from a partnership between The National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products to celebrate the 25-year history of The Simpsons.

Products from the previous three waves are now available at various retailers, including Toys ”R” Us locations nationwide.

Disguise Renews Agreements with Top Entertainment Properties and Brands

july28 Jakks-Pacific-LogoJakks Pacific Inc. announced that its Halloween costume division, Disguise, has renewed and expanded agreements for multiple top entertainment properties to produce Halloween costumes and accessories launching at retailers nationwide this Halloween season.

Disguise has renewed its licensing contract with American Greetings Properties to create costumes and accessories for the Care Bears property and has expanded their agreement to now include Strawberry Shortcake.

Disguise has also renewed its agreements with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Consumer Products  to produce costumes and accessories for The Simpsons, Family Guy, and the Austin Powers franchise, which will be available at retailers nationwide for the 2014 Halloween season.

 

A Year of Celebrating To Mark The Simpsons’ 500th Episode

Muster up your best “Doh!” in preparation for a celebration for the most-watched U.S. television program and the longest scripted show in television history—aka The Simpsons.

To mark the record-breaking 500th episode, to air in February, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products is throwing a yearlong celebration. This will include specially tailored brand initiatives created to appeal to the franchise’s wide fan base, a new global retail partnership, and a worldwide QSR campaign with Burger King Corp.

The commemoration starts in September and will continue throughout the show’s upcoming 23rd season. Fox Consumer Products’ new launches will include a “Ladies of Springfield” brand for fashion-forward female fans. The accessories will feature Marge and her two sisters, Patty and Selma. There also will be numerous products based on Duff Beer for male fans.
