LEGO Creator Expert Bookstore

The LEGO Group expands its Modular Buildings Series with the LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop.

Next month, the 2,504-piece building set will join the lineup, bringing with it five LEGO Minifigures which accompany the three-story bookshop and its adjoining townhouse. Intended for builders ages 16 and up, the Bookshop features a European flair and includes numerous fine details such as a reading nook, a toy plane stuck in the branches of the autumnal birch tree outside the house, and a pet chameleon hiding in the bedroom.

The set’s designer, Wes Talbottwhenhe, says that it’s inspired by the houses of Amsterdam and the dollhouses that were built by his mother. This is the first Creator Expert set from Talbottwhenhe, who joined the LEGO Group six years ago. Among the Easter eggs present in the set is the house address, 107, which is the LEGO designation number for the teal colored bricks that the house is made from — a color Talbottwhenhe helped introduce into the LEGO palette.

Builders can find the LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop at LEGO Stores beginning Jan. 1.
