Toys “R” Us Canada launched a new initiative aimed at keeping kids and families active and entertained during the evolving coronavirus situation.
The company, which temporarily closed its 82 Toys “R” Us Canada and Babies “R” Us Canada stores, plans to offer Stay-at-Home Play Packs, exclusive YouTube content, and the Wash Your Hands Challenge — a dance-along and scrub-along song on TikTok.
“We hope to help make this time at home a little easier for Canadian families,” says Vic Bertrand, president and CEO of Toys “R” Us Canada. “It’s important to see this COVID-19 crisis through the eyes of a child and remember that play and having fun together is more important than ever.”
The Stay-at-Home Play Packs are being offered exclusively online in several options and price points including the ‘R’ Big Imaginations Fun Pack, which features a variety of items including the Crayola Magic Scene Creator, Mega Bloks 40-piece Construction Box, Nick Jr. Ready Steady Dough Super Duper Dough Set, Porcupine Pop Game, Imaginarium Discovery 150-piece Wooden Block Set, and 168 Wood Dominoes.
A full range of exclusive Play Packs are available at at toysrus.ca.
Additional YouTube content featuring Geoffrey the Giraffe will debut starting next week.
