Two new additions are coming to a galaxy far, far away.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Clone Wars, The LEGO Group has unveiled two new Star Wars helmet building sets. Captain Rex and Commander Cody, two iconic heroes featured in the 2002 film Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, now have their own instantly recognizable helmet models.
The helmet sets, which will be available starting March 1, are highly detailed and feature nameplates for each character, making them the perfect build-to-model collectible for LEGO Star Wars fans.
Captain Rex’s helmet is recreated in an 854-piece set, featuring the iconic blue trim and range-finder of the 501st battalion’s clone captain. The 766-piece set based on Commander Cody’s helmet has the orange detailing that appeared prominently in the animated series The Clone Wars.
“These rewarding, relaxing builds should be able to take pride of place for any LEGO Star Wars collector and offer a new way to create, display and enjoy these iconic characters who played such a pivotal role in many stories that we know and love from the galaxy far, far away,” says Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, Design Lead for LEGO Star Wars.
The LEGO Star Wars Helmets portfolio has been recreating helmets from the Empire, dark side, and others since 2020. The company launched its latest two products, Luke’s Helmet and The Mandalorian Helmet, in March 2022.
The Captain Rex and Commander Cody helmet sets are debuting at Spielwarenmesse next week.
