The Puppet Company has expanded its licensing partnership with the Natural History Museum in London with the launch of a new miniature prehistoric plush collection, adding a second size format to its dinosaur plush range.

“Following the brilliant response to our first Dinosaur Plush collection with The Puppet Company, we are excited to see the plush range launch in its new, smaller size for 2026,” shares Louisa Skevington, Licensing Manager at the Natural History Museum.

The new miniature Dinosaur Plush assortment features six species — Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Diplodocus, and Quetzalcoatlus — and complements the larger plush range that launched in October 2025. The smaller plush toys range from 14 to 27 centimeters, while the existing large-format plush toys range from 25 to 48 centimeters.

“Our iconic, instantly recognisable dinosaurs are one of the most appealing collections we have ever designed,” says Sue Lockey, Owner and Co-Founder of The Puppet Company. “We’re delighted to introduce the new small sizes, which are just fantastic — soft, safe and perfect for creative play.”

The miniature collection was highlighted at The Puppet Company’s Toy Fair London stand in late January and will be available beginning in March through online and physical retail. Designed for impulse-friendly purchasing, the smaller plush are intended to merchandise alongside the larger versions for coordinated in-store displays.

Developed in collaboration with the Natural History Museum’s licensing team and its network of scientists, the plush toys are designed to reflect scientific accuracy while supporting storytelling and creative play. Each plush includes educational fun facts on its hangtag.

Both plush ranges incorporate sustainability-focused manufacturing, with a high proportion of recycled materials used across fabrics, fillings, and components, as well as minimal, recyclable packaging.

The Natural History Museum collaboration is part of The Puppet Company’s broader expansion into licensed partnerships as the company marks its 25th anniversary with additional launches planned throughout the year.
