The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) is gearing up for its 2020 Marketplace & Academy under a fresh theme: More than a Toy Show.
The annual event will take place from June 7-10 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Award-winning comedian, TV personality, and nonprofit leader Jeff Civillico will kick the event off with an opening presentation on June 7. The closing keynote will be delivered by Kevin Brown, author of The Hero Effect on June 10.
“When the independent toy industry gets together, we do a lot of laughing and learning,” says Kimberly Mosley, president of ASTRA. “This year’s keynoters will help us continue that tradition. We hope all attendees will leave Orlando renewed and inspired.”
Civillico produces and stars in Comedy in Action, his own one-man clean comedy show at Paris Las Vegas. He is the founder and chair of Win-Win Entertainment, a 501c3 national nonprofit based in Las Vegas that creates opportunities for professional entertainers, athletes, and celebrities to share their time and talent with children in need. Civillico has appeared on ABC, NBC, ESPN, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, and more.
Brown worked his way from the front lines in business to the executive boardroom. For nearly two decades he served as a sales and marketing executive who helped companies such as Servpro, which grew into an industry giant generating billions in sales. After a career in franchising that spanned 30 years, Kevin retired from corporate America to help individuals and organizations expand their vision, develop their potential, and grow their results through the simple principles of “The Hero Effect” message. Brown’s keynote presentation will take place during ASTRA’s closing session and luncheon on Wednesday, June 10 at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Special Early Bird registration rates for ASTRA’s Marketplace & Academy are available through Wednesday, Feb 25.
Attendees can register online or at ASTRA booth No. 6511 at Toy Fair New York.
