Members of the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) stepped up for the holiday season in support of the inaugural Holidash event.

Launched on Neighborhood Toy Store Day in November, participants were challenged to log their steps through Dec. 31. In order to participate, contestants pledged a $25 entry fee in support of the ASTRA Foundation. Steppers were eligible to win prizes in three categories, with winners randomly drawn from those who reached each step level. Dee Farrell, ASTRA’s immediate-past board chair, snagged the top spot with nearly 1 million steps logged.

Category winners include:

“The ASTRA Foundation’s mission is to support play across the lifespan,” says Kimberly Mosley, president of ASTRA. “Holidash is a playful way to live this mission while supporting the Foundation with participant registration fees. This activity was a fun way to introduce playful competition among ASTRA and increase awareness of the Foundation’s work. Thanks to all who took the challenge!”
