BBC Studios has promoted Murilo Hinojosa to the role of Vice President, Consumer Products & Commercial Partnerships, Latin America.
Hinojosa first came to BBC Studios in 2021, and worked at the company to grow the Bluey brand within Mexico and Latin America overall. Boasting more than 50 licensing deals secured, Hinojosa acquired new territorial agents and managed brand developments in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and more. Hinojosa will report to Suzy Raisa, Senior Vice President Consumer Products & Business Development.
Murilo has extensive experience and knowledge of the Latin America market and has displayed a deep commitment to developing BBC’s key brands in partnership with distribution, digital, and brand marketing teams. Under his leadership, 'Bluey' has successfully entered the market with great impact and will continue to experience exponential growth over the many years to come.
Prior to his work at BBC Studios, Hinojosa was the Vice President of Licensing for LatAm at eOne/Hasbro, working on series such as Peppa Pig and PJ Masks. Other earlier work includes time spent at Discover Communications and a variety of Brazilian agencies.
As Vice President, Consumer Products & Commercial Partnerships, Latin America Hinojosa will continue his work with Bluey, in addition to brands such as Doctor Who, Top Gear, and Hey Duggee, as well as BBC Earth shows including Blue Planet II and Frozen Planet II.
