Hasbro, ADK Emotions NY Inc., and T-Licensing Inc. are leveling up the hype for the Beyblade X World Championship with a major tournament stop at Anime Expo in Los Angeles next month.
Badge-holders ages 13 and up can compete for a chance to win a fully paid trip to Tokyo, where they’ll battle for the title of ultimate Beymaster in the World Championship finals. The tournament kicks off July 5 at 10 a.m. at booth No. E-25 in the Los Angeles Convention Center, with on-site registration for the first 128 players beginning an hour earlier.
Sponsored by Target, the tournament invites competitors to bring their own Hasbro Beyblade X Tops to compete, though a limited number of Tops will be available to borrow. The top eight finalists will face off in Hasbro’s Beyblade X Xtreme Battle Set Beystadium.
The winner of the Anime Expo showdown will be crowned National Champion and earn a spot in the World Championship taking place at Tokyo Tower Oct. 11-12. Hasbro’s latest Beyblade X products, including the Cobalt Dragoon 2-60C Launcher Set and Soar Phoenix 9-60GF Deluxe String Launcher Set, are available at Target for those eager to train ahead of time.
