Big Lots is adding some Disney magic to its stores this month.
The discount retailer struck a deal with The Walt Disney Co. for pop-up shops in each of its more than 1,440 stores. Now through Oct. 14, consumers can shop an array of toys, home décor, apparel, and accessories featuring popular characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm properties. The Disney shop features branded signage and displays throughout “The Lot” section of Big Lots.

“For decades, The Walt Disney Co. has inspired joy, hope, and creativity around the world through its popular collection of entertainment properties,” says Big Lots President and CEO Bruce Thorn. “Like Disney, Big Lots is in the business of delivering delightful experiences and unexpected treasures to our customers, and we hope this limited-time collection of products featuring beloved characters like Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Grogu, Buzz Lightyear, and more adds a little extra magic to their visit.”

The toy selection features products from an array of familiar toymakers, including Jakks Pacific, Just Play, Mattel, Carson Dellosa, Big Potato Games, and more. The assortment spans dress-up and roleplay, action figures, dolls, plush, vehicles, activities, games, and more. As part of the promotion, many items are also available online at biglots.com/disney.
On the company’s second quarter earnings call last week, Thorn highlighted toys as a prime category for bargains in its stores, including close-out items, off-price brands, and limited-time deals.
Since the closing of many of its Disney Stores over the past few years, The Walt Disney Co. has found success in limited-time offerings and dedicated in-store departments with retailers including Target and JCPenney.
